Ground Elk Burger and Beans Recipe
Ground Elk Burger and Beans
- 1 1/2 pounds ground elk meat
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 celery ribs, chopped
- 2 teaspoons beef bouillon
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cans (16.5 ounces) baked beans
- 1 1/4 cups ketchup
- 1/4 cup mustard
- 2 teaspoons garlic
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- bacon bits
In an iron skillet over medium heat, cook elk, onions, and celery until meat is no longer pink and vegetables are tender. Dissolve bouillon in water; stir into elk mixture. Add, beans, ketchup, mustard, garlic salt and pepper; mix well. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for an hour or until bubbly; stir. Top with bacon bits.
